Scaffolding and Encapsulation

This large scaffolding project in Wellington required DIALOG Fitzroy to supply and manage of all internal and external access solutions for the site and then work with the client on a dayworks contract to assist with the scaffolding and rigging of the piping and structural steel for the building itself.

A major component of the project involved the full encapsulation of one of the large buildings on site which required a comprehensive engineering study involving our own engineers, our scaffold supplier Layher and the client.  We developed a concept for this work and completed what we believe to be the largest stand-alone scaffold roof encapsulation in New Zealand to date with a span of up to 48m  and over 3000m2 of roof wrapping.

DIALOG Fitzroy had to invest heavily in additional scaffolding and associated equipment to ensure our team had the tools to make this project a success. But what really stood out for this project was the culture and attitude of our crews and the level of coordination with our own mechanical team established on site working on the building itself.  When available, our mechanical team offered themselves to assist our scaffolding and rigging crews, providing evidence of how the various parts of our business come together to make these projects work.

The feedback from our client was extremely positive with special mention made of the outstanding culture, training and HSE awareness that all of our teams display.
